Olympic Steak & Pizza - Oakland

We were looking for a good place to grab a bite, spotted your sign and stopped. We ordered a small sausage and mushroom pizza. It was a thick crust and looked pretty good, we were not disappointed. Great taste, good flavor and chewy cheese. Will remember this place and stop next time we're in the area. It don't get much better.👍👍👍....

I’ve been here about 4 times for take out. I’ve had a pizza which was good. Mostly, I get the chicken salad with the shell. It’s pretty good. Once, it had a piece of hair in it, but I didn’t call to complain. The service is ok. The people in the front need more spunk or to be more friendly. However, it’s fine for lunch break.

Disappointing Experience - Improvement Needed My husband recently visited the Olympic Steak House in Oakland, TN, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The greeting was unwelcoming, and despite being left waiting by the hostess, he was seated in an isolated back corner. The service took a downturn as the waiter rushed through the order, displaying impatience and a lack of professionalism. The drink order was neglected, and when brought, it was served in a to-go cup, a stark contrast to other patrons. The checkout process intensified our dissatisfaction. My husband was instructed to pay at the front and, having left a cash tip on the table, encountered judgment, scoffing, and eye-rolling when he adjusted the tip portion to zero on the receipt to avoid double tipping. The individual at checkout seemed oblivious to the fact that he had already left a tip. However, her behavior remains unacceptable, regardless of the tipping situation. It's disheartening to consider that the subpar service may be related to his appearance, making him feel discriminated against. No one should feel this way when patronizing a restaurant. Improvement is essential, and we hope for a more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere in the future.

The " Seafood Buffet" was probably the worst I have ever experienced. All frozen miniature shrimp. The peel and eat was room temp and not iced which was very scary. Basically $17 for nothing edible except for French Fries. The greens on the salad bar were literally swimming in water. The service was ok but the food was beyond disgusting. One of our party ordered off the menu and was pleased with the fan tailed shrimp. I would never ever eat here again. I took my parents out for a meal and was horrified...

This is a hidden Gem that is worth the travel. I had to visit family in Sommerville and this venue in Oakland is very nice.The salad bar is great with fresh greens and a good selection of toppings. The soup and dessert bar that comes with the salad bar puts it over the top. Great banana pudding. I mean Yumm. I really enjoyed the buffet. The fried chicken was the star of the show and the peach cobbler was extremely good. Catfish was decent. The rest was Ok. The fried mushrooms are nice but not that good. Get the mozarella sticks and poppers. All the food items were good. The smothered chicken, lasagna, chicken parmasean, to everything was great. The service was bad. We had to flag down 3 different waitresses for drinks and refills. Never knew or found out who our actual waitress was.
